WORKSHOP: The Actor's Voice

Theater Actors Guild (TAG) in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) presents: Banaue Miclat-Janssen’s THE ACTOR'S VOICE—a workshop designed to heighten the actor's awareness of the connection between voice, the body, emotions, and the spoken word. It aims to develop the voice to reveal, rather than describe, the actor's emotions and thoughts.

The 6 sessions, conducted over 6 weeks, will be devoted to understanding the anatomy and physiology of the vocal instrument; learning a warm-up that includes breath support, tension release and vocal range expansion; and performance with physical awareness, ease and presence to eliminate blocks and tensions in the body and emotions.
